Our play-based kindergarten program is designed to develop listening and speaking skills, attention, imagination and social skills. The nurturing classroom environment is rich in singing, seasonal activities, cooking, painting, puppetry and storytelling, gardening and nature exploration.
Kindergarten is an all-day program. Children may join the Kindergarten for one or two years.
We combine 4 and 5 year old children in a mixed age classroom. One of the benefits of this practice is that half of the class will move on to first grade and half of the class stays on as the ‘elders’. In their second year of Kindergarten, the older children quickly fall into the familiar rhythms of the classroom habits; welcoming the younger children into a class that already has some comforting structure and form.
Caulbridge School is accepting children in Transitional Kindergarten born on or before June, 2013; and Kindergarten, born on or before June, 2012.
