Caulbridge School offers Parent – Child programs that help support parents and children prepare for pre-school and kindergarten.
This morning class engages the young child in nature and gardening activities. Current Research shows a strong correlation between children spending time in nature and their healthy social, emotional and cognitive development.
The class will begin at 9:15 am with a walk and story, followed by a collaborative gardening activity. The group will have snack from 10:00 – 10:30 am, then free-play and more individualized activities from 10:30 – 11:00 am.
Some of the seasonal concepts that this class will explore include: Soil and composting, animals and insects that support plant life, as well as planting and harvesting.
Children age 18 months (walking) to 4 years old
Parents and Caregivers
Parents and caregivers discussion topics include: natural stages of childhood development, engaging the senses, and the neuroscience of learning and building healthy social, emotional and cognitive skills.
