Founder


Debra Lambrecht, Founder and Head of School

Since 1981, Ms. Lambrecht has worked with schools and youth leaders to influence positive change in the way we meet the needs of children. Debra has provided continued educational training, along with strategic and organizational consulting for hundreds of schools and youth organizations across the country. Ms. Lambrecht served as School Director of a private preschool through 8th grade. As Founder of Caring About Kids, she created a unique mentor program that was replicated throughout the United States; and authored several youth development publications including training manuals that became required text for CA State University Master’s counseling program. Ms. Lambrecht’s innovative program models have been recognized as exemplary by United Way, National Public Radio, and Rotary International. Debra has also had the privilege of representing Rotary International while presenting her work at the United Nations International Youth Strategies Summit.

Rachel Rubinstein, Director of Education

Ms. Rubinstein holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Women and Gender studies from the University of Redlands and her Master’s Degree in Humanities at Dominican University of California where her culminating project was the development of curriculum for adolescent girls coming of age. Rachel has been a TK/Kindergarten teacher, Grades One and Two class teacher and taught Music, Art and Spanish for Grades One through Six. She also created Girls Time, a class for middle school girls. Rachel has completed extensive professional development training in Making Math Real, SIPPS Language Arts, Being a Reader, Being a Writer, Curriculum Development and Student Assessments, and is a trained Mindfulness Educator. Ms. Rubinstein is a birth doula and certified yoga teacher and founder of Rise Parenting – A resource for parents: before kids, during pregnancy, and through the elementary years. Rachel enjoys travel, yoga, camping and rock climbing.

Kimberly Palmer, Director of Middle School Student Services and Curriculum

Ms. Palmer holds a Master of Science Degree in Educational Counseling, a Master of Arts Degree in English, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. Kim has extensive teacher training, training in Applied Behavior Analysis, and training in school counseling. She has been a curriculum specialist at the middle school, high school, and college level. Ms. Palmer has served as a professional mentor to faculty members and has served as a teacher advisor to several student clubs. Kim enjoys spending time in nature, yoga, reading, and making memories with her daughter.

 


Stacey Lisker, Director of Student Support Services, TK – Grade Five

Ms. Lisker holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre. She was awarded an Earthwatch fellowship to study dolphins in Brazil and taught students environmental stewardship. Since 2004 Stacey has taught Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, Music, Movement, Drama, Practical Arts and Fine Arts across the grades in public and private school settings as well as private tutoring to support independent studies and academic coaching. Ms. Lisker enjoys literature, theatre, yoga, art, animals, and is an outdoor and garden enthusiast.

Maggie Maggiora, Admissions Assistant and Marketing Coordinator

Maggie Maggiora holds a Bachelor degree in International Business from Ming Chuan University in Taiwan, and she continued her studies with a major in music at College of Marin. Maggie has several years of experience in music education, and she has led hundreds of students from age three to seventy to explore the world of music. She now enthusiastically fulfills her role in assisting the admissions department with data management and entry. When she is not playing an instrument, you can find her reading, crafting miniature models, or exploring new food.


Nova Alexander, Administrative Assistant

Ms. Alexander attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University to study Interior Design. Upon moving to California her career followed the corporate path, where she was a manager in retail and experienced in bookkeeping, accounting, data management, inventory and purchasing, working with teams, employee training, and every aspect of the day-to-day operations of a large retail chain. Nova enjoys nature, music and theater.
