Caulbridge School offers Parent – Child programs that support parents and children as they prepare for pre-school and kindergarten.
Our morning class engages the young child in nature and gardening activities. Current research shows a strong correlation between children spending time in nature and their healthy social, emotional and cognitive development.
The class will begin at 9:30 am with a story, followed by a collaborative gardening or nature activity. The group will have snack from 10:00 – 10:30 am, then free-play and more individualized activities from 10:30 – 11:30 am.
Some of the seasonal concepts that this class will explore include: Soil and composting, animals and insects that support plant life, planting and harvesting, foraging, as well as animal tracking and observation.
Children age 18 months (walking) to 4 years old
Ms. Rachel, Caulbridge School Director of Education, will guide the children with song, stories and activities.
Parents and Caregivers
Parents and caregivers will have time to engage in discussion with Debra Lambrecht, founder of Caulbridge School and author of A Common Sense Education in Uncomon Times. Discussion topics include: natural stages of childhood development, engaging the senses, and the neuroscience of learning and building healthy social, emotional and cognitive skills.
Six Thursdays, February 28, 2019 through April 4, 2019.
Cost for the series is $240. Limited class size. To register, email – Admin@CaulbridgeSchool.org
