The Middle School Ping Pong League of Marin County
The Ping Pong League runs from February through April and is open to 8 or 10 public or private schools, and open to teams of 4 or more students. Each team competition will consist of 3 single matches, 1 doubles match and a team rumble for a total of 5 matches. Teams may be coached by walk-on coaches (parents who enjoy ping pong and play with their own kids) and get their kids friends together to represent a school, or by current middle school teachers/coaches.
- League Matches are Thursdays, 3:30 – 5:00 pm on March 2, 9, 16 and 23 at competing schools.
- The Finals will be held Thursday, March 23rd from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Caulbridge School.
Cost – $20 per student.
Caulbridge School PE Teacher and Coach, Alan Gulick happens to be a ping pong champion who has coached at the State level, and his enthusiasm for getting kids involved is contagious! He understands the benefits of ping pong on hand/eye coordination, brain development and tactical thinking skills. Ping pong is a sport that anyone can play and is a way for those who shy away from athletics to be successful.
